Overview

KUBRA is seeking a DevOps Manager to work as part of a small team of engineers focused on building and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure for our SaaS platform.

 

As the DevOps Manager, you will also lead infrastructure road mapping, architecture, development, and deployment in collaboration with Product Engineering teams and management.

What you get to do every day

  • Contribute to the design of new infrastructure and improve existing infrastructure
  • Standardize, develop and maintain common development tools and infrastructure, such as CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, cluster management, config management, etc.
  • Hire, train, coach, mentor, and develop staff, including conducting performance reviews and providing constructive feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action with the assistance of Human Resources when necessary
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by following the broader industry, attending management-focused training sessions and educational workshops.
  • Work with other engineering teams to identify and implement infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring etc. improvements.
  • Write code and contribute to the software architecture of a highly concurrent, high-throughput system on the AWS cloud.
  • Oversee the development of documentation, including but not limited to platform requirements and functional specifications.

  • Project management skills – the ability to plan and manage successful projects, including managing risks, costs, time, and team
  • Excellent organization, time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle pressure and focus on results

What skills do you need?

  • 8-10 years of experience in Cloud infrastructure, Micro-service architectures, Operations or DevOps roles.
  • 1-2 years of experience leading a team or complex projects
  • Experience with Amazon AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS etc. is required.
  • Experience in building, running and scaling micro-services using Kubernetes, Istio, Docker, monitoring services like (Prometheus, DataDog, New Relic etc.) etc. is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Linux, AWS and distributed application architectures.
  • Experience in distributed applications on public cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure etc.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
